Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into the family of South London. Madekwe is English, and her father is Nigerian. She went to The Brit School when she was 14 years old. She earned her BA in acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. As a student at the academy and performing in numerous stage productions, such as King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe's acting journey began with Storm Damage. Since then she has appeared in Teachers and Doctors. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), with Colin Farrell. In the following year she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi as the main character on ITV2's comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was also a part of 2008's comedy How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Performance credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her US debut on the Drama series The Beautiful Life, which was only broadcast on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. In late May 2013, it was announced that Madekwe, who been a series regular in the past two seasons, was to leave the series after a guest-appearance in the premier episode of the new season. She was Tituba on the television program Salem between 2014 and. Madekwe married her long-time lover, Iddo. They have worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also had a role alongside her on the TV series Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into a large, extended family. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty as well as her four brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's athletic brothers were avid baseball players during the summer months and hockey during winters. Ashley didn't walk, instead she would dance. When she was two and a half, she was introduced to Baby Ballet. It was then that she discovered Ashley's interest in dance. Ashley competed in top-level divisions in jazz, tap ballet, hip hop, lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe, until she finished from high school. Ashley was awarded the best soloist awards at all of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance to name a few.
