Shannyn starred for the role of Shannyn in Wristcutters An Love Story the indie black romantic comedy. It was nominated for several awards, including the Sundance Festival's Grand Jury Prize, two Independent Spirit Awards, as and the Humanitas Prize. The Holiday, Dirt, Catacombs and Dirt on FX came next. In addition, she became available as a series regular for CBS the vampire drama Moonlight, to play the role of Coraline Duvall. In 2008, she won the Teen Choice Awards for "Choice Film actress-Horror". She was a part of Life Is Hot in Cracktown, Our Family Wedding, The Heavy, How to Make It in America, Road to Nowhere, The Day, The Cyclist, as well as The End of Love as Lydia.
